Born in 1963 in Modena, Alessandro GENNAI has been graduated in 1988 with honors in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Modena and admitted in 1989 to the General Surgery Specialty School at the University Hospital of Modena with a scholarship as first on the list;

From 1989 to the end of 1994 he has actively participated in the work of charitable and scientific Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Institute performed at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery University of Modena (prof. In 1999 he has joined in Los Angeles Prof. Nicanor Isse. Particular importance has had this period at the Clinic of Professor Nicanor Isse in Los Angeles in terms of helping to acquire theoretical and technical knowledge on the endoscopic procedure in facial rejuvenation.

On this topic, the undersigned has been repeatedly speaker at national and international conferences. In 2007 he was invited to participate as a speaker and operator Congress VII VEMI “Curso Internacional de videoendoscopy en plastic surgery and Procedimentos minimum invasivos” in Curitiba (Brazil), during which he performed an endoscopic face lift surgery using the new fixation systems.

“…..I’m deeply convinced that in our 45-55 yrs old patients, the center of the face is the more involved area in facial aging; the endoscopic procedure addresses to reposition the tissue in the center of the face, not pulling the skin laterally but repositioning the tissue following vertical vectors by a minimal incisions procedure.

The descent of tissue is only one of the factors involved in the facial aging; the other two most important factors are loss of volume and skin aging: since the 2004, I have been performing fat graft in all my facial rejuvenation procedures and it improved both the volume of the face and the quality of the skin. In the last 6 years I changed my technique of fat grafting aiming to increase the benefit of the ADSC in order to achieve not only a volume restoration but also a tissue regeneration….”

In the course of his activities he has published numerous works on national and international scientific journals and has participated as a speaker at numerous national and international meetings of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine.
